Interested especially in how you guys have tied the main hoop to the frame and basically anything up near the front of the cab, because its pretty busy under there and it doesnt seem like there a good place where you could get a straight shot from the base of the hoop to the frame. Also would be interested in how you tied it in, in front of the door beneath the a-pillar.

Edit: also interested in how you guys have painted your cages? do you remove them from the truck to paint, and if so, how? :dunno:

I don't paint mine. Goes back to old school, "paint hides cracks". I use a mixture of automotive clear coat and blender. Mixed 1:1. Wiped on with a blue Scott shop towel. Seals it.

this is what I did on 76zimmer's cage for the iron maiden. I believe they added a flat plate under the front body mount bushing that comes out and welded to the tie bar to prevent rotation. I oriented the ties so the body could be lifted straight up. most put them so the body has to be slid forward or back a little to lift it up

interesting...mine has like inner rocker panels that are right in the way of going over to the frame...will have to look at it closer i guess, havent looked too closely yet.

I'm not 100% happy, i'd like to tie it another way but I can't really see a good way

The others are tied in the middle also
