Looking to add a new winch to my 1991 GMC Jimmy. Wanted to see what other people have for setups. Initially thinking about a bumper/winch combination. This is a daily driver type truck, not something used for off road. Post your photos or those of other decent winch setups.
Looking for something more or less low profile, however does not necessarily have to be a winch that sits behind the bumper with cable/hook feed through cutout. I like the flat platform bumpers (like below). Not interested in tube type bumpers.
Put in a plate, cut out the stock bumper, mounted XCR12, cut holes for tow points, added a plastic piece along cut hole to clean it up and not cut yourself. It works nice, totally hidden, and easily useable. He used a camaro license plate holder for the flip up in front. I'll see if he can get some more close ups as he some how lost off of them.
here is mine i built it as a base for a tube bumper/exo but i could have easily finished it out with diamond plate to be a platform style i built it all out of 1/4 and 3/8 and 2 inch angle as bracing undernieth it will rip the frame in half before i hurt the bumper
