I guess I have been anal for a long time about my lack of a shift knob and have been on the search to replace it with a billet or chrome shifter but I want to see what others out there are using.

show me your knobs! /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

never took a pic of it, but I run a black plastic B+M T-handle. Drilled it out as it wouldn't fit the np 208 threads, then pushed and turned until it threaded on and cut new threads in handle ( soft aluminum insert ) /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

I run a carbon fiber lookin (painted actually lol, hey it matches my center console) from wal-mart

I took the OE complete black one and installed it on my Sm465s shifter. I know thats not what you are looking for its just what I did.

What's wrong with the factory knob? Works fine on mine /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Got the same setup in my daily driver. Kids loved it so I put it on. Even got the skull valve stem caps and Skull license plate bolts. Valve stem peices keep disappearing though. Got the little buggers once so they've lasted longer now.

Thanks for all the ideas , my shifter is MIA I bought the truck without one.

As for the shifter with the red eyes Autozone has them.

Cut it off, drilled and tapped the end for the 465 shifter, polished it up and slapped it on there. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i use a B&M Aluminum T-shifter and it's the bomb. love that thing, and since we're on the topic:
-WHAT ABOUT STEERING KNOBS?-
This is what I use, it was a gift from a farm equiptment store and it's (IMHO) God's gift to wheelin (just dont try to get your rig inspected w/ this thing on)

It's bigger than you might think (its for a tractor afterall) about 2.5" dia.
