Patrick. What were your reasons for going back to the 78 front clip?

So I haven't posted on here in a while. But I did a clip swap and put a 78 front clip on mine. I then broke my rear axle, so I upgraded to a 14bff. So that lead to a front 8bolt swap to have matching wheels. However I only got a band-aid rear that didn't match the front gears. So I got a nice little christmas gift from my folks. So last week I picked up some new wheels and tires. And today I picked up a new cucv rear with the correct ratio.

I kind of liked that clip better. Plus the 91' clip needed a new hood and fenders, and the price was right on the 78. Also I was born in 78' so why not have a truck that has a look from when I was born.

Now sitting on HD D60 front and D70 rear with 6" front springs, stock rear springs with custom made rear spring hangers. It sits on 35x12.50-16.5s and I'm waiting for some 2" rear springs to level it. 1987 GMC 1500

1976 GMC 1500 Stepside with sb400 and TH350. 4" rough country with rear blocks on 33x12.50r15s. I bought this truck for my daughter!

76 K5... as you can see, I need a lot of body work.. actually a lot of EVERYTHING work...the DB who had it before me jacked up the hood by trying to force it closed when the hinges were frozen... and yes, that is a keg in the back :P

This if the first 4x4 I've ever owned. Traded my 96 honda civic for it and I'm loving the crap out of it. Already came with a 6" lift with 36" tires. Joined this site so I can learn some things from people here. I'm a total noob so go easy on me

my 91 with a fresh 3/4 ton swap
