I haven't ridden in there since all the changes were made for racing, but it used to about light your ass on fire from the heat of the exhaust! :yikes: :rotfl:

With the new motor and all of the wrap on the exhaust it isn't so bad any more. It still tends to get warm inside but I think it's better than it was.

KOH is Feb 11th this year. We will probably be down there the entire week prior pre running and testing.

The days you don't want to miss are the LCQ days and Tech/contingency. Then of course the race. KOH is one of those events that you push to get to, loose sleep, freeze to death, die of heat stroke, work way to many hours on the car, spend way way to many hours in the car, and walk away from it with a smile.:pimp:

There honestly isn't anything like this event in the US. I encourage everyone to make some sort of plan to get there.

You have a car?

It's odd but for some reason all desert races are in cars, Trophy trucks are also usually referred to as cars. I don't follow why but that's the way it is.

I have had a really hard time going from Buggy to Race car then back to buggy. I get looked at weird in the race circle calling it a buggy, so i have tried really hard to switch all of my terminology over to car.

So yes I have a car. :haha:

I have heard guys in the NASCAR truck series call their trucks cars. People have been racing CARS since there were 2 in the same town. Trucks came later. Maybe it is just in our blood to race cars.

Buggies are 2 seat fiberglass vehicles with 40hp VW engines.

So are truggys the high zoot desert cars or hermorphadite truck/ buggy vehicles?

I say a hermaphrodite that will never admit it doesn't know what sex it is. But you are lucky cause you have a windshield and most likely a heater that has controls.

I only have a heater that you have to control the temp inside with how fast you drive. Gets hot speed up, get cold slow down.:haha:

I have been told that you can only call your "buggy" a car if you race it:rolleyes:

Like I said I am not totally clear on this myself but since I have somehow gotten lucky enough to race I call it a car.

The main reason I built a rig with a cab, Wyo/Montana winter wheeling.
We can just say that it is it's own best friend. :dunno:
