I've had my for over 7 years now and its still just a 1/2ton. I had planned several times to put a 14ff in it. But now that it has 10bolts with 4.10 gearing I probably wont change that.

It was my daily driver for a long time since I got it stock after highschool. I killed the stock 305, put in a stock 350. It leaked real bad so I pulled it and sold it. It now has a built 350 that is toast. The rings never seated due to a faulty edelbroke carb that flooded it out. I've painted it twice, it was the original frost white when I bought it. I painted it black which was my favorite and it started to peel after trying to remove frozen mud one winter. Then I got a dumb idea to paint it dark blue and it came out crappy.

As of now it sits at in my dad's backyard back in Spokane. After trying to sell it this year and no luck, it sits tell hopefully someday when I have a garage or shop again I hope to bring it back to what I once loved about it.

1st pic was stock with 4" tough country and 31s. 305/465/208 10b/3.08s
2nd brand new 33s and 15x10 wheels
3rd posing with my 77 k20 (sold)
4th when the paint looked good
5th what it looks like now with faded blue paint and crappy tires

Mine was a 1/2-ton (12-bolt/D44) the whole time I had it. It was a great truck, and I had lots of fun in it. I had big intentions (including paint over the primer), but then I came across my shortbed and decided to take a different path.

Here's my K10:

Its an '85 mostly with a '74 bed. 305 HO from an 83 Firebird, SM465, NP208, 10bolts with 4.10s and rear locker on 35" Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs. This truck is also my Daily and has been for almost 3 years... For more info check out my build thread in my sig.

i've been watching your build since you showed up here. I like how your truck has progressed. Did you paint those wheels two-tone?

Do you have a tach? We have the same drive-train and gearing, but I only have 33s, what kind of rpms are you doing at 60? Mines atleast 3000.
 
My K5's title , my insurance company , and General Motors call my K5 a K10 . K5 is a badge . So I have a K10 too ...... wheeled with 1/2 tons :laugh:

Its gettin' a D60 pretty soon too :D Those 38.5/16-15's aren't easy on things... in the sand its fine but I'm afraid I've been bit by the rock bug so its going to need a little more in the strength department haha...


BTW Howdiy I think I just realized who you are... you're the idiot thats driving around with a cracked/ broken frame aren't ya'?
I've seen pics that look just like that on Pirate if I remember correctly.... please tell me I'm wrong.

Being an 87 it's a V10. Not really a half ton but it still has a custom 10 badge on one side. The last pic was when it still was a half ton. Funny, that pic with the BF on the rock there was broken 10 bolt inner and outer and a U joint on the other side of the tire. My last half ton run.

I've switched between different setups but those are the MT's I've had the whole time just on black steelies instead of chrome rims...
 
here is my old k10 that i drove from ny to ca back in 04. Then this thing got cut to death in 05 because of smog check.
