Well just finished up install of a new 350 into my '78 K10. It's a newer style '87-'95 TBI motor that was swapped over to a carb setup.

Everything's in and she runs like a champ, alot of power, but sometimes when coming to a stop when i push the clutch and brake pedal it would shut off. It would do this sometimes and other times not. I have no idea what would cause it.

Any ideas would be great

Probably not helpful, but when the same thing happened on my Heep it was the clutch linkage pinching and grounding the primary coil wire. That was fun to find. :doah:

Had it happen to my truck after tbi swap, my speedo cable was bouncing, and apparently if the comp sees the speedo go from slow spped to stop really quick, it shuts down the injectors, I had that removed from the prom and fixed the speedo cable.

I'll say it again

TBI Engine swapped to a carb setup.

It only has the bare necessities hooked up since my truck is old and has no emissions junk.

What kind of carb and where is the float set?
