So the nice older guy I got my skat blast box and I.R. compressor from as well as the Honda ATC 70 from texted me and said he was ready to sell the chipper unit . So I went over today and demoed the unit and then paid him .

I got it home and fired it right up and went to work on a brush pile I had that would of filled 2 8ft truck boxes . 10min later it was SHREDDED! :saweet::saweet:

This little guy is a mini version of a big unit . It will easily eat 4in wood no problems . He gave me all the paper work and even extra new knives and belt and few other parts .

I paid less for this than a newer pile of crap unit and it does 10x the work. Can't wait to shred more and more .

You made the right choice. I bought a homeowner style one and it just led to frustration. Thankfully I bought it used and sold it for what I paid for it. Something like that would be great.

Is it a Mackissic ?....I had a chance to get one cheap a few years ago,but a friend who wanted it more ended up with it...it sat a few years and needed the carb cleaned and points replaced..
That brand is one of the best, they actually work!..
Most of the homeowner ones are not too great..

I have a chipper,I forget the brand name, that had a 5 HP engine with a centrifugal clutch ,it worked, but it seemed to only turn green branches into strips or strings instead of chips, maybe the knives were dull .. and it was underpowered, could only handle branches under 2" thick...

I've considered rigging it up to one of my Sears Suburban tractors that are 12 HP,but lately I've found it easier to just drag or push all the brush & branches into a pile and burn them during burn season ,or in the fire pit..its a lot quieter burning them than chipping them up too..
