I have a 78 Jimmy with an 8" lift and my wife is having a hell of a time getting in it. I'm looking for some advice on side steps or sliders. I really life the N-fab style steps that run the whole length between the tires. They do not have the older body styles listed as compatible. Has anybody had any luck finding any (steps/bars/sliders) that will work? (bolt in preferable)

Nfab sells em. Call em up and order em. Usually a few week lead time for them to build em for you.

I don't know the differences under the tub but it sounds like it's time to call DIY4X.

Years ago I guy I knew had a '75 K5 he lifted way up and put 44" tires on it...his wife hated climbing into the truck, but loved to drive it..

He ended up putting a tire chain anchored to the floor on each side--to get in you had to open the door, flop the chain down, then use it like a ladder to climb up into the cab,he also added some grab handles on the side of the cap and inside above the glove box ..then you had to pull the chain back up onto the floor so you could shut the door!..crude but effective I guess..:screwy:..

Step ladder attached to a rope. That way the truck still looks good going down the road.
