No sealer needed on the seal just pulled the insert (locking rubber) and then glass. Inserted the sliders and put the insert (locking rubber) back in.
The tool cost $14.95 and the places I called wanted $150 - $200 to put them in. I did it in an hour and I had a cold drink too.
