As much as I liked my '88, a lot of things were starting to pile up with it. Mainly the rust issue (both inner and outer rockers, floor, bedpan ect), but they were issues that were slowly being worked on......til two weeks ago.
I stopped by Wally world and entered thru thier tire/oil change shop like I usually do and one of the *mechanics* stopped me and asked if I would be interested in selling him my Blazer. I told him that I really wasn't thinking about selling it, but thanks for asking. He said hang on, he was serious, well, trying to get away from him and continue about my business (beer run) I told him $4500. Well my jaw just about hit the floor when he countered with $3800
I asked him if he was serious and said hail yea he was serious. Well long story short, I followed him to the bank so he could make a savings raid, and he pealed off 38, $100 bills into my paw which was shortly followed by the title going into his.
So now I'm having to rack up the miles on my '99 Z71 until I can find another daily driver. As much as I liked my Blazer, it had a lot of issues, and I still can't believe that guy gave my $3800 for it!
After we get relocated in a couple of months, and settled in our new jobs I'll be on the hunt for another K5. But until then, I would like to thank everybody for thier help over the years. I'm not going away, but will drop to mostly lurker status for a couple of months.
