how do you guys decide whether your q-jet needs a rebuild? mine runs well in the cold winter months, but quite rich in hotter weather, pretty much every point from idle to wot. is this an indication i need to rebuild? maybe just rejet? i've heard the float absorbs fuel as it ages and sits lower, causing a rich condition. would just a new float help?

i've seen similar threads to this, but as i'm still new to automotive carbs, i need info more specific to my case.
