A couple of months ago i broke a leaf from my rear RH side (bottom one) and when i was taking them off i noticed that the same leaf on the other side was kind of wavy... so i started thinking if that was a sign of them breaking down...

Any ideas.

Definitely the beginning of the end, bent means pushed past it's yield strength, imagine bending a paper clip back and forth a few times, you've already started that process and who knows how much more it will take

Going to jump on the bandwagon here.

My rear springs are thrashed. Any good sources for GM quality replacement stock springs?

Mine is a 3/4 ton that sees a lot of weight, so i do not want lift springs.

If willing to spend the money. Get Alcan or Deaver springs to build you a set to your specs. Maybe a little higher spring rate since you carry heavy junk.

Really, for my purpose, the stock 3/4 ton's do fine.

Too much cash... i will search for a so so set or maybe one of the leafs the pre runner guys take off.

Man, the detail in this forum is amazing. Can't imagine how you knew that.
I have no idea how much my own junk weighs, let alone someone elses........:eek1:

I got new springs from JC whitney, bout 100 per side and after about a year they seem to be holding up fine.
