Silver shiny tube???

I am totally illiterate when it come to emmisions equipment. I have Stainless steel tubes coming out of my exhaust manifolds, I belive they are EGR equipment. They go to the smog pump which was damaged in the accident and I dont want to replace it. I was wondering if I could take those lines off including the pump and not have any problems with the truck running or getting any strange computer codes??? Thanks

I have bypassed my smog pump and I'm going to plug the spots for those tubes in the exhaust manifold when my friend's Dad brings me the plugs from work.
