Silverado dash repair - fiberglass

Was tired of looking at floating sections of dash. Finding a complete dash at LKQ was a bust. One can find dash pads and covers for days. Stull looking for an OEM quality replacement. Baring that I pieced it together with fiberglass. Its not pretty. Hope it lasts for more than a month.

I may paint it or just give up and slap a skin/cover over it.

2001 Silverado 2500. 1999-2006 ish are all the same. I'm sure someone will correct me on the 2006 part if its not accurate. So I've let the dash sit, alot of the fiberglass is coming up already. It was roughed up prior to the cat hair application. I may need to rough it up further & use some specialty fiberglass ? Given the huge problem w/ these dashes I'm still shocked the aftermarket hasn't filled this niche.
