How does a (susp) lift affect the ride quality of a heavy-sprung 3/4t truck? I would assume that if it does not replace the rear springs, it would not change much?

PS. I appreciate how helpful this site and its members are to those of us who are still learning this stuff. This site has been the sole influence that got me interested in anything other than stock trucks.

I'm trying to justify investing (ha!) in a mild lift, so any general info is greatly appreciated.
Thank you again, sorry my posts are always so longwinded, can't help it.

I went from stock to a 4" Rough Country with blocks, plus extended brake lines. Ride quality IMPROVED against the crap I had, and I built my rear packs with the normal leaves, an add a leaf and a leaf from the front.

Mine cost around $400 with lines. Simple to put in too.

How about other factors? Did a ton of the old stuff (I assume you are talking about the 78 in your sign) need to be replaced after the lift?
Would it be better to check/replace driveline parts now and wait on the lift?

ride quality will also depend on the lift height and brand. im sure a 4 inch lift will be smooth then say a ten inch. you might need to extend drive shafts and/or brake lines....all depending on height. i have both a skyjacker 6" and a superlift 6 " on two different k5s...and the skyjacker is WAY smoother.
