A friend of a friend just e-mailed me this pic. This happened a while ago, but he just found the picture the other day. It's a dana 44 if you're wondering.

I think he was climbing a ledge or something and he got the front off the ground. Then he came back down and bam! He noticed the steering felt real weird, they go out and saw some fluid driping from the housing and then saw the big crack. He replaced it with an 8-lug 10 bolt. This is a k-20 chassis with a 70s el camino body on it with 36" hummer tires. It's pretty redneck.

I like how the shocks are still there, but that mount ripped off on that 44. This is probably the only time you can pull the carrier without tearing down the outters.

snapped the transfer case off the adapter, wrecked the headers, ruined rear driveshaft, and i cant remember if tranny got screwed up too or not
