Would it be possible or a bad idea? I was thinking it would make a cool longer flat bed work truck. Anyone done it or know where to find photos? My googlefu is not dialed on this one.

my old farmer friend had one kind of like that . had a 10-12ft ish flatbed on it . was factory c&c drw 2wd truck . you would have to make or modify a crossmember to be the new rear cab mount unit . since the mid point on crew cabs is outside the frame rails like the fronts are .

and the frame length difference from std cab long bed to crew cab long bed is 33" extra under the cab in the flat area under the floor . i just cut 33" out of a crew cab frame and made it a std cab frame . clock my BUDGET BEATER build in the link below in my sig line for pics .

I parted one of these before.
The flat bed was 12' and the frame was identical to a crewcab frame.
I don't know if it was factory or dealer built.
It also had a c&c narrow 14bff

Thanks for the info. I have a 91 crew cab that needs cab floors and possibly rockers, and a bed replaced. Have a really nice single cab and was either wanting to do that and use it for hauling signs/metal for work or slapping it on a blazer chassis. I just cant bring myself to let any of my parts go. lol

Forgive the photoshop hack.

I was like that until I almost lost my marriage and then started scrapping and every time something got scrapped someone was looking for it.
Can't win them all.
I still have more than enough projects

I've seen a few 4x4 Suburbans that guys put a single cab on and made a long flatbed for them..one is used to haul hay at a farm close by,I see it go by every year with a full load on it!..

I think trucks like Blazinuk's were the platform used on most ramp trucks ?..

Exactly.
They were the cab and chassis and came in regular cab length frame or crew cab length.
I am not sure but it seemed like the frame drops were less pronounced on the one I scraped like the frame was more flat.
It's been a while so can't remember
