hows everyone running their single exhausts on their trucks? I am trying to figure how to get my passenger side pipe over to the drivers side of the rig before going back. At first wanted to get it to go forward and wrap around front of oil pan sump then come back to the drivers side but thinking that isn't going to work very easy. Now I am thinking of crossing over right behind the oil pan. I am going to have to ditch my full length headers so will either go manifolds or shorty headers.

You have a 465 right? I have a th 350 and run my pipe right in front of the trans pan. We are kind of lucky here though there is a guy who runs an exhaust shop here in town that used to off road alot. Now he has a sand car so he understands what off road guys need.

I have had a couple freinds who have run it towards the front of the truck but they all had to modify their manifolds or headers (all shortys)

Why would you want to? Run the duals

single is easier to route once you get them joined and then you only have one tail pipe and muffler to smash:D

Got a pif of yours? yeah I have a 454 to a th400

Its a tight fit for the pass side pipe alone then try to add the fuel lines, tranny lines, air line, etc its just too much. I have a mile of room for the pipe on the drivers side so that is where it is going

I ran mine over right under the oil pan. It has a flange welded on so I can unbolt that section to remove the pan when needed. Just check your suspension compression to make sure the pumpkin doesn't crash into it when it compresses.

Are you running manifolds I take it? or shorties?

Wow that is clean, doesn't even look like you drive that thing.:haha::haha::haha:I do miss the "lack of ****ty outside elements" that the West has!!

On my tan K5 it went under the front driveshaft and in front of the crossmember over to the drivers side . Ended up being a driveshaft loop too

Will have to prob go under the tc or oil pan on my setup. With the doubler the front shaft is pretty long and starts hanging lower at that point.

Yeah I saw the vette one but don't really wanna spend that much

true but already got a $$$ HAD 1350 CV 1410 14" slip front shaft.

Just had my exhaust redone last week. Basically had the guy run it the same way my pieced together p.o.s. exhaust used to be, but now it doesn't look/run like crap. I have a SM465, but I might snap a few pics tomorrow if I get the chance...

why do you need to ditch headers? I did 3 inch single exhaust from newer gm but had to cut and weld the y-pipe to get drivers side
