I get they're all gear cast iron. I need to know how the difference in bearing size affects what fits what.

Mainly, I want to replace the 203 full timer in my 79. It has a th350 tyranny.

Thanks in advance!

I’m not 100% but I believe the big bearing version is the newer 32spline version.
You just need and older 205 and adapter off a th350. Or do a Magnum!

You’ll need the 27 spline 80mm small bearing version which came from the th350 trucks. You’ll need the th350 np205 adapter and coupler to put it on your trans.

You can convert gm 10 spline and dodge 23 spline if you get one of those easier.

The adapter, coupler, and input gear are all available aftermarket.

Good info! You just forgot to mention that the low range ratio sucks, just like a 203!

Oh don’t get me started. It’s a love hate with mostly hate relationship with the np205.
