They're the soft canvas style bed covers with little windows on the side. They kind of remind me of jeep soft tops. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Where can I get one?
theres a couple in the garage xx" lift with xx" tires thread. I think they are usually made by an upholstery shop or a cartop shop
You were right. I found the one I was actually picturing in my head. Except I have a K15 not a K5. I wonder if I could build a collapsible frame that would raise the center up and make the slant a little steeper. Almost like the HMMWV I posted up.
Do you mean V1500?Where did you learn that from? .......................It's an 86 GMC long bed 1/2 ton. Anything with a 5 at the end is a longbed. K10= Shortbed 1/2ton K15= Longbed 1/2ton K20/K25; K30/K35 and so forth.

Half-ton models were the C10 and K10 short-bed trucks, and C15 and K15 long-bed trucks. The 3/4-ton C20 and K20, as well as the one-ton C30, were also available. GMC did not use the "C" nomenclature, though their 4x4 versions had the "K" designation
If you read that correctly, it was only GMC that used those designations for the long and short beds, Not Chevy.

Crap. My K5 is a 1/4-ton longbed. But the state thinks its a station wagon. It's an 86 GMC long bed 1/2 ton. Anything with a 5 at the end is a longbed. K10= Shortbed 1/2ton K15= Longbed 1/2ton K20/K25; K30/K35 and so forth.
