greetings,

can the universal slapper traction bars be used to control traction and axle wrap

the truck will be used mainly on the street and on climbing and racing on sand dunes

the truck have around 2-3" lift only

thanks

You would have to have no blocks in the truck, and change u bolts so the spring plate is on the bottom of the axle. Then your spring height is going to come into play considering the slapper bars basically need a flat spring to work.

If the conditions were right you would make it work but with all the room under the truck why not just run a trac bar?

Slapper bars are going to suck with a lifted truck, way too much antisquat. Caltracs can work well for axle control but will limit articulation. So if you need articulation build a traction bar, if you don't care about articulation the caltracs will be fine.

I don't care about articulation because the truck will have minimal lift (4" max ) and it will be used in sand dunes

Those caltrac bars seem like they would only work one way depending on how you install them, what about when the springs wanna go in the other direction(Up travel and Down travel)? Seems like there would be alot of force stopping movement one way.. Idk maybe I just dont quite understand them.

A trac bar makes most sense to me.

traction bar, I don't like the caltracs, and while you may not be concerned about articulation having a decent amount to suck up small whoops and ruts in the dunes will help some. The traction bar will also help that.

I don't remember what you are running for a rear axle but check out DIY4xs wraptor traction bar.

Its a nice piece

I am running 14BFF

after looking at the caltrac website, it seems that installation involves modifying leaf spring mounts and u bolts
so trac bars will be easier IMO
