I've rebuilt a few auto trannies, and every time I do, I wish I had a front pump puller.

Who makes a slide hammer/puller with a 5/16-24 threaded rod on it for a decent price considering it gets seldom use.

I bought an OTC slide hammer, works really well, good quality. It doesn't have that threaded rod on the end, but I just thread two bolts into the front pump and then use the small two jaw puller to grip the head of each bolt, usually one yank on each side and it pops right out. The first one loosens it a little and then switch to the other side and it pops right out in one more hit.

that sounds like what I'm after....didn't think of pullling on the bolts. I was looking at the pic in the service manual of the puller they use, and it shows a threaded puller on the slide hammer.

Where you at in MI.
