Ok so after searching I see its best to tie the sliders to the cab and not the frame. But as mine is a truck, i cant really tie the sliders on to the body mounts as easy as on a k5. But im doing my cage right now, Ill have the cage go through each corner in the cab and to the frame. So my question is, if I tie the sliders to the cage and then the frame, it wouldnt seem like the sliders would add that much stress to the frame. Does any one have any opinions on this?

That's pretty much what my setup is and I bash the crap out of it. No problems at all.

That cage would add a LOT of rigidity to the rocker area.

Mine works fine tied to the body, sliders, and frame and it is definately not a light rig.

I used DIY staked cage floor plates and Hartley Truck n Tubing built it.

I have come down with the full weight of the rig on a slider and only slightly dented the slider tube .120 wall 2" DOM
