I now have rock sliders on my truck. Another joint operation between CEE and HD Enterprises (aka homebrew fab) turned out very well. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

The main slider body is 2 pieces of 1.5" .250 wall square HREW welded together. They are chopped at a 45* angle on the ends and 1/8" plate welded on as a cover. The kicker tubes are 1" .120 wall round HREW.

Still need to add some supports but they are welded into the rocker box currently.

Now all you have to do is cut the tube off and go wheeling. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

how you got it designed to supported all the weight?/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif is it just welded to the rocker?
or you got it tied into the frame?
i want to build me a set of sliders and those look sweet /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Right now they are welded into the door sills and also welded to the body supports that you cut into to get the old rockers out. I have to add some more supports off the back side of the slider to the body supports. they will not be tied to the frame.

Looks good.

I just cut out my passenger side floor (rusted pretty bad) and cut the tubing for my sliders. Then I will replace the floor and do the driver's side. I will post pics of my progress...eventually.
