sliding side windows - can you aftermarket these?

My 90 GMC Jimmy FS doesnt have sliding side windows in the back and I want them.
Can you get these put in aftermarket or do I have to source out a whole top?

The sliders are easy to install...they work on any k5 top.
Just pull the old glass...install the slider.

They are kind of a cool feature, but for a lot of us, they had enough problems that they end up being a hassle.

I swapped some in, and then I swapped them out as I noticed all the "problems".

Latches break constantly

Can't get the wing windows tightened up/replaced (at least not like you should be able to) because GM used steel screws into the aluminum frame

Tons of additional weatherstripping to replace

Cracks and crevices promote lots of things to grow in them

Those were just my experiences, with constant back seat passengers in a warm climate I can see some use from them, other than that, roll all the windows down, and/or just remove the top.

I think LMC sells a set of sliders, but you don't want to know the price.

If you really want a set, offer a trade, for someone who wants your solid windows, in the "wanted" section. There is always someone who has sliders that wants a solid, and someone with solids, that wants sliders.

I like the sliders just fine. I don't care for the wings that much, but plan to remove mine and bondo in the mounting area. I like the look of the solid windows better... but my kiddos love the sliders, so I'll keep 'em.

I doubt that...you can check around...and find a pair in the junk yards.
They're pretty common around here.

I do have a pair I can sell.

You can buy aftermarket sliders but those are pretty spendy. I'd just do as someone already suggested and trade your solids for their sliders. Someone is always looking for solids.
