gasket 34 is torn in half on mine. luckily it's at the top so its not leaking, but I'm sure I'm getting lots of air noise from it. I'll clean the drains and I noticed where it was dripping is where the window channel is seamed together. I may need to add some sealant there.

Do you guys have the grey plastic stuff in the channel on yours?

Drey, how do you take the wing thingies out?

pull the little grey stripe out(mine has them too)
open the inner window.
turn the wing 90 degrees and you should see some little screws.
4 screws and the bastard window is out.

Might just do that. Have a healthy dose of mold behind mine and I obviously don't use them.

Do any of you guys that have gotten rid of the sliding windows have that little metal piece that is glued on to the slider that the latch fastens to? I am missing one of them and haven't been able to find a place to get one.

You talking about the part on the right?

If so guy sells them on eBay whole part new cheap under $10

No that.s the latch itself which I've found at pep boys. On the sliding part of the window there's a metal piece that's glued to the window that the latch attaches to. Here's a picture, it came out blurry cause it was dark but You can see what I'm talking about. The other side is missing that metal piece.

not sure on that maybe measure the thickness then cut a flat bar stock and use rear view mirror glue to hold it after you drill and tap screw holes?

Yea I've thought about doing something like that, Haven't been in a big hurry to fix it. Just thought someone might have one laying around and save me the trouble of making one.

Just digging this up but I thought I'd put input on this.

Finally found myself remembering I wanted to do this AND having a screwdriver set available and 15 minutes...figured I'd pop out those four screws per side and pull the vent windows off of the top.

30 minutes and the grinder later...

Only two of the screws came out, both of the top screws on the passenger side. I was able to work the vent out of the bottom mount. The screws in the bottom p-side and all four on the d-side were rusted in place and just rounded out as soon as I tried to even turn a screw driver. On the d-side I just ground the shafts holding the vent window into the upper and lower mounts.

I actually like it better without the things on it. Looks cleaner. Now to demoldify it.
