Slight modifications......

Never mind......I already won once....Let someone else win.

I get that. Yours is one of the few that truly changes periodically so I figured it would be just like nominating someone different. LOL

Over the summer I broke the trans housing where it meets the cases. The reason was two fold, worn out motor mounts and the cases are mounted to the skid plate. The weekend of the break, I had come down hard on the skid plate a couple of times.
So I got to thinking of a way to mount the cases besides the skid plate/crossmember.
Not wanting to lose any ground clearance by lowering the cossmember any lower, I decided to hang them from tubes that hold the seats in place.
So here's what I came up with......One bracket on the 205 and one bracket on the trans/203 adapter.

I got the 3/8", 205 plate from "Beyond Precise" out of Piedmont Oklahoma and interlock tube clamps and plug from TMR Customs.

I also had Beyond Precise make me so wheel centers to match what I have. He had everthing to my door in about two weeks. If you need anything made give Josiah a call, good dude.

To fix this. Came down hard off a big rock last time out....Timing was great, last obstacle of the weekend and last run of the year.

Here's the rear plate installed. Had to do some mods because of where I ran some tubes for the lower links.

Here's the front plate I had to make, also out of 3/8" plate.

Had to notch it to be able to screw ind the breather.

Then I ruff cut the tubes. I need to cut 2-1/2" out of each tube to fit the clamps.

Here's the clamps in place.

Then I cut the center section out so I could put a piece of 1-3/4" x .250" in there. I used the plugs where I cut the tube. I also need to drill some holes in the tube so I rosette weld too.

This is how I'm going to run the mounts to the brackets.

The reason for making the tube work removable is so I can remove the cases out the top. To remove them from underneath, I would need to move them foreword to clear the rear lower link crossmember and this would mean I'd need to remove the motor and trans.
