slipping out of 4wd

My Jimmy keeps slipping out of 4wd and the shifter itself dosent really lock or click into 4wd I'm sure it can b a number of things but r ther a few checks I can do to rule things out? Its a 90 just did 3/4swap n 6in lift. Also lowered the tcase 1in Im wondering if tht tweaks things a bit? Any suggestions?

adjust your shift linkage and check for interference between shift lever and floor

what t-case u got? My first 208 was doing that and it got so bad i pulled it and put in a used one i found at a decent price. since ive swapped, the problem hasent reaccured. My truck has a 3" body lift and my shifter works fine. you could drain the fluid and check for metal shavings, that will at least tell you what shape your in. good luck bud
