GM seems to be using a longer cable now for the back glass.
Part # 12542292
This cable is much longer and needs to be routed differently.
Route right to the bottom of the tailgate and under the bottom glass bump stop.
Years ago I replaced all of the hardware in my tailgate (including the cable). My glass was still very slow. I pulled the truck out of hibernation this year and the cable had jammed.
Short story… The new cable from GM is much longer, thus: softer curves in the cable.
Now I have to be careful when lowering and raising the glass.
It is now faster than the windows in the doors.
Finally!!! Now I can die happy.
