What is the difference between Slugs and Hubs?
slugs are full time hubs are part time
Ill give you my understanding real quick before someone else chimes in.
Normally, hubs are selectable (lock and unlock) either manually or automatically. Slugs basically just work like hubs that are locked all the time (ie, they can't be unlocked). Slugs would work if you had a limited slip or selectable locker, but wouldnt' be good with a fulltime locker or on teh street at all. Damn near indestructible though.
thats what i was after
I ran the Warn Flanges that I have listed in the for sale section for about a year in my Blazer before I sold it. I had a detroit locker in the front axle and frequently drove it on the road. It drove fine as long as 4wheel drive was not engaged.
