Just like the title says what is needed to do so also the turbo 400 was mated to a 203 and the 465 is mated to a 205, what about driveshafts this is for my best friend sure he wwill comment soon WFO l.t.p.f. /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Well, his 205 should be a 10 spline if it is an older truck, and if that is the case then he will need to find a TH400 version 203, 205, or whatever he wants to use for a case.
Will also need the A/T column if he wants the shifter on the column, and all the linkage pieces to make that work.
Tranny cooler and lines, probably different drivelines???
Just a few things off the top of my head.

He would like to use the 205 case but dont want to do drive shaft mods again as the were just done does any one know what combo will work w/o drive shaft changes we have many 203 s if that is what is needed.and only the 1 205 hooked to the 465 which is around a 1976 the 400 and 203 is from i think a 1977 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

You will have to do driveshaft mods anyways switching since the SM465 is shorter than a TH400. So Front will have to be lengthened and rear will have to be shortened. But you might be able to find replacements, in fact I have a TH400/NP205 front shaft I have been trying to get rid of.
