SM420/465 TO 208 QUESTIONS

Will a SM420 or 465 bolt to a 208 transfer case that was behind a 700R tranny? If it wouldn't, what needs to be done to get it to?

it is usually much easier to just buy a matched tranny/TC set then to try and swap output and input shafts and source adapters seperately

You need a 32-spline input on the NP208 to bolt on an 81-91 SM465 (32-spline, long - like 10" stickout - output shaft)

The SM420 was only ever mounted to a t-case for one year - '67. It was a Rockwell/Timken T221.

I think the only aftermarket adapters for the SM420 are to bolt on a Landcruiser t-case or a Jeep Dana 300.
