'87 and newer 350's have the one piece seal. A '77 is a two piece seal though...

Be glad it's not the old rope style seal, my first rear main seal was on a '65 Buick and that was sooooo much fun.

different u-joint. i'm talking about the one on the driveshaft that goes from the transfer case to the rear axle. there's one on either end of the driveshaft. check those.

your drive shaft might SEEM tight, because your in park and the joint is binding, when it really looks like this.
