For those of you who have rebuilt this transmission; How many man hours did it require? I am not in any sort of time crunch so any information about time required, and also where you sourced your parts would be appreciated.

are you sure yours needs rebuilding??? I still have the original in my truck and id say it has well over 500,000 miles... I bought it with 465k+ back in 1991 and that was 15 years ago!!!!

If you are taking all the way down ( as it should be done ) and replacing the bushings on the mainshaft it will add an hour or so to the build . Plan on a good half a day if the tranny is on the bench and you are mechanically skilled with a good tool source and puller/press set up.

Took me 7 hours and a case of beer. I also did a NP435 and NP205 @ the same time and they took about hte same time, just more beer since they came out of a Furd

I just purchased a rebuild kit for my 465 from Anaheim Gear. I also bought the heavier springs and a cluster spacer to keep it from jumping out of third gear. I beleive it cost about $300 total.

My transmission has had a hard life underneath a farm truck leaks from quite possible every seal that it has. I don't know if the bearings are still good but since it will be torn apart anyway...

Got my rebuild kit from novak and it took me about 8 hrs to do it. Pulled tranny/t-case and washed it Friday afternoon, rebuilt on Saturday, installed on Sunday
