sm465 input bearing is kinda loud

I just bought a sm465 at a junk yard and im wondering if the input shaft bearing is suppose to be loud its only loud in the front part of the tranny while its in neutral if i spin the input shaft and hold the output shaft its loud but if i spin the output shaft and hold the input shaft its quiet. Please help thanks.
