Hi all,
A while back I saw a post that showed detailed pics on how to repair the loose shifter in my sm465. I am pretty sure I saw it on these forums, but maybe I found it elsewhere on the net? I have searched the k5 site the last two days trying to find it, but cant!
Wondering if anyone knows where in the forums I found this. I remember there being several images showing the actual spot that needed welding. I think I need to weld a bead or something. If anyone knows a link it would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to get this annoying loose shifter fixed today! It has gotten progressively looser since I first bought the truck a few years ago.
I have a 1981 K3500 4 door single rear wheel 454/sm465/np205/D60/14B FF/4.56/6" suspension lift/35" BFG AT's. Use it for work daily, daily drive it and not afraid to 'wheel with it!
