Hi all. I have a recently put together truck ive had for past 11 years. It was daily driver 305tbi sm465 208 box. Tore that out and had a 454 from 86 chevy motorhome with 44k on it built just for it. Finally got the 454 in and everything mated together, took couple test drives. This things a monster. Finally bring it on the road, shift couple times not beating it up. No noise no boom, just Lost all power to the wheels. With truck running I have all gears selectable no issues with gear engagement. Just No power down to the ground. I opened up boot by slave cylinder to check out throwout bearing and the bearing retainer nose everything appears to move as it should and be where it should. Checked transfer-case, thats not broken chain is good. What would cause me to lose all power to the wheels like that? Clutch? Could the nose bearing retainer the throwout bearing rides on sheered off? Its not making noise I just have no go. help please.

Thrust bearing in the 208 has gone bad and it will kick out of high gear

Ive got a 44 gal aluminum tank i'm mounting in back between the frame rails underneath stepside bed. Gonna be unstoppable.

Not so bad at all. The truck gods appear to be on my side with this build it would seem. So far so good!
