You'll need the kickdown switch that is mounted for the gas pedal with a wire down to the tranny. There is no linkage off the motor. Still has a vacuum modulator, so that's the same.
IIRC from when I swapped the gas engine in, the flexplate is the same, but you may want to verify that.
I'd hope your buddy kept the converter with the tranny.
After you get it installed I would take it some place that can flush the tranny, that way you get nice clean and fresh fluid. I think flushing will change out 95% of the fluid where as just dropping the pan will probably only get half. There is a lot of fluid in the converter.
thanks for everything. Just got back from colorado, so it's time to start saving up money and figure out what needs to be fixed first. Either my engine or the tranny/t-case. Since the tranny is currently working fine, I might go with the motor first...
