Anyone have a supplier for 465 rebuild kits? I searched the forums and found tons of kits for t-cases, but nothing for the tranny itself. I have to rebuild the 205 and wanted to do the tranny while it was out. Also, how do I know if I need the large or small bearing kit? The tranny/t-case is from a 76 K10. Thanks in advance.

I got mine from these guys here in Denver, A-1 Transmission (303)623-1401.
Good quality kit for a complete rebuild including redesigned third gear & synchro to prevent the "jumpout" problem. Was pretty reasonably priced, but that was a few years ago.

I've read that some folks had issue with 3rd jumping out, but I havent ever came across that so maybe mine isnt bad off to the point of a rebuild?
Randy, I'll check Rockland and see what they have. Novak conversions is the only company I could find doing a google search, so this will give me a compasion and maybe a better option.

Anaheim gear has a sleeve that replaces the snap rings between 3rd and 4th, over time the snap rings break and cause the "jumpout". just get a real good look at everythin, maybe replace the shifter fork springs, maybe even a fork if the nylon is worn, that too will cause it to not fully engage

i was in the middle of a 465 rebuild but moved so canned it but im back at it and diggin around for my old links.

yeah might as well rebuild it while it is out... mine pops out but I just hold my hand on it while im in that gear.... also as long as im on the throttle it doesnt pop out... just when I let off... :doah:

maybe ill have to check some of these links in this thread and rebuild mine... :wink1:
