SM465 sheet metal (inspection) cover

You mean the rectangle one that is about 4x6 with 6 holes in it? If so I have one if you want to pay the shipping it is yours.

I thought I was wrong once,
but I was mistaken

what i need is the cover that mounts to the front of the bellhousing that helps prevent dirt from going past the flywheel and into the clutch. I think what you are talking about is the transmission PTO cover ( and i guess what I should have said was the bellhousing/clutch inspection cover) that is found on the transmission.

thanks

I took mine off and threw it away. It constantly collected mud. It could get in but it could not get out then one day I went in a deep hole that pushed it back and the crankshaft caught it. I thought at first a rod was coming out. It has been off almost 10 years now and I like it that way. You might want to consider going without it.

I have one lazer cut from polished stainless steel. I bought it on e-bay thinking it would fit my nv4500, but it won't. I'll try to send you a pic if you like. $20.00 shipped to your door. It really is a nice piece.

i have a stock one somewhere aorund here 15 bucks plus postage off a 68 292/4 speed 465, i never use covers on my trucks, i never go mudding either lol

'72 K-5 4x4, CST, 3.07, 4 speed, NP 205, 31' x 10.5", converting to 2wd and pickup body(I did not want to do this- rust made me do it)

I try and avoid mud, I have a cover on mine and haven't had any trouble with it.
