I bought a truck with an 465/205 the 465 is shot, rusted gears, and mainshaft. It is the 10 spline out-put. I bought another truck which has a 32 spline output 465.

My goal is to run the Good 465 with the 205, to do this i will need to buy a 10 spline mainshaft and swap it in, or change the input on the 205 to the 32 spline correct?

Or is there a 205 that had the 32 spline input and will take the "long" shaft.

Thanks

correct, there is a 205 that has a 32 spline input. it will have a round pattern adapter tho. you should be able to just swap inputs.

Someone told me on another forum that advanced adapters has a 32/10 spline sleeve, that would work the best. But I cannot find it.

Call them and ask. They have stuff to change the spline count, but nothing for that exact app, that I could find. They do have 32-spline-to-Land Cruiser 10-spline. I don't know comparison specs though.

Is it even possible to do?

My thinking is if the 208 has a female input and the longer 32 spline shaft from the 465 slides into it. It would be physically impossible to have a coupler from the 32 to 10 spline.

So I guess im stuck at having to change the input shaft to the femal 32 spline version.

Correct?
