sm465 wont shift into low

I just swapped my 465 into my blazer and I cant get it to shift into low gear, shifts into the rest just fine. I have not tried to shift it with the engine running, I didn't think you need to have the engine running to shift into low. Am I wrong? i haven't had a chance to see if the forks are lined up but im sure they are. Anyone might know if im missing something? Thanks in advanced..

Tomorrow is the pedal swap and the hydro clutch setup and building drivelines And i just want to say for the record those dang trannys are a PITA to position.

Low isn't synchronized so sometimes you have to let the trans move a little to get it to go into gear (i.e. let the truck roll a little, let the clutch out a little bit, etc.).

Make sure it has enough fluid, that can cause difficult shifting too.

I can't shift mine with the engine off either, and it was put in at the factory. As 38377k5 said, just let the clutch out a little to get things moving and it'll clunk itself right in.
