So, it was bolted up to a 208? Got any pedals and linkage by any chance?

By manual clutch do you mean mechanical? Just for clarification. I might be interested, but I'll need to think on it a bit.

Yes it had a 208 behind it. It has a 32 spline output with round adapter

PRICE REDUCED $150 takes it, I need it out of my garage! :deal:

Where are you located? If I can find a way to get to you, I'll buy it. Do you have the linkage, flywheel or pedals that you would like to sell?

I'm in Middleboro, MA and no pedals or linkage. Just what you see plus the shifter, clutch fork, and dust shield.

Btw you can buy all the mechanical linkage parts from most resto places like LMC or Classic Parts of America. Only thing you can't buy are the pedals.

I PM'd you.

I'm surprised it hasnt sold yet..cant buy that setup anywhere else locally for that cheap!....

I'd be tempted to buy it if my 85 Burb wasn't an automatic,I need a 700R4 for it ,the easiest way to fix it would be to put back in what was in it before..
I'd need a diesel flywheel though, pedals to install, the cross shaft bracket, and maybe crossmembers and driveshafts..and a mechanic who can lie under it long enough to do the swap, not me,to mate that setup into it..
I have a spare NP208 with 32 spline input for my TH400 plow truck that would mate to the SM465...

I did one TH350 to SM465 swap in my 72 K5 decades ago,and it was a long week of six to midnights in my friends garage before it was able to drive away..I dont think I'd be able to do one today...

If you see a good 700R4 or TH400 in your travels for the price your asking for the 4 speed,PM me,I might be interested..

Ya it'll be way easier to just replace your 700R4 as a manual swap isn't an easy task as you know. I'll keep an eye out for a trans for ya.

Honestly it probably hasn't sold because I keep forgetting to renew the craigslist ad :doah:

Thanks,PM me if you see an automatic tranny I can use--I'd take a TH350 that has the right tailshaft to swap in place of a 700R4 using the spacer too,the spare TH350C one I have that fits my van has the 9" tail and its too long (I think)..
I'm not worried about losing overdrive really...I did see a 700R4 for sale in Easton on CL the other day,but my e-mail wouldn't work to contact the seller, and it must have sold, the ad dissapeared..:(

with the correct adaptor will this trans bolt up to the range box of a 203 ?

My doubler is bolted up to a T400 and I'm pretty sure it uses a 208 short leg adaptor....

hmmmmmm ... can you check shipping it to 77338 ? bussiness address with a loading dock...

Thanks,
Frank

Well its a later 465 with a 32 spline output, the same as your TH400. It had a 208 bolted to it so if that's how it adapts then it should work for you. Check the mounting flange on you 203. If it has a round 6 bolt pattern then its correct. If it has a figure eight pattern then no go.

I'm not sure on the shipping. It'll probably cost around $100 to ship it and for that price I'm sure you could find one locally for cheaper.
