I have a throttle body injection if motor from the early 90s Silverado that has thrown a rod. I also have a 350 small block from the early 80s that was carbureted with a good lower in. My question is will the intake and heads from the newer motor bolt right onto the older motor? Any other issues I should be aware of? I already know I'll have to add the knock sensor in the block

tbi does not like to compansate much at all for a non tbi cam . could run o.k. could be lumpity thumpity and scream when you gas it like a rocket ship .

you can try and see what you get . might need a chip burnt .

Would the cams swap?

GM first began installing roller cams in some Chevrolet small-block, V8-equipped cars in 1987. But OE roller-cam installations in trucks didn't occur until 1995.

Wont you need to hog out the manifold bolt holes to allow it to fit an early small block ?..
I thought the angle of the bolts changed on the heads on fuel injected engines ?..

On the vortec manifolds yes they’re different

Even the TBI manifold is different, but Magikal said he is swapping heads too.
