So the rear number is GM3858174 which decodes a 64-67 327. The front number is F0824HF, which I don't know how to decode. He wants 200 bucks and it's got the camel hump heads. They look like what I have on my 67 camaro, but I don't beleive its a camaro engine. Maybe corvette. Any help? Gonna put it in some kind of off road vehicle based on K5 blazer chassis. I've got the differentials, now I just need to get some kind of chassis and a tranny, and I could have a fun one.

here is the HF suffix code
1965 HF 327 h/p 300 4 Vette
1966 HF 327 Powerglide, A.I.R. 275 4 full size
1969 HF 350 Powerglide 275 2 A F X
1978 HF 350 LM1 170 4 Firebird

I would say it's the 65 for the vette. It's got the intake manifold chrome oil fill tube, so it's probably not truck or anything newer than 69 or so. It's even got the oil filter can that you put a open element filter into.

I'm gonna buy it. Now all that I have to do is figure out what to put a screaming 327 and a set of 3/4 ton axles in. I plan on overhauling the 327 anyways. I even have a set of SB truck heads that I could use and just sell the fuelies. Hmmmmf. I have a holley 600 and the accesory brackets and all for a 1972 SB truck motor. I just need to buy a SM465 and I'll be most of the way to a cool toy.
