Trying to find out what the chamber size is on these heads and specs to see if they are a good type of heads. Casting number 14014418, found 17 but not 18. Anyone have any infromation on these heads. Thanks in advance

yeh 4416

305 heads

common, lots were made, had and seen alot of them, were used in 80-up caprice impala camaro firebird etc, those common 4 bbl aluminum intake L84 L69 305 engines(140 and 190 hp)

low cc chamber size,

small runners, but can be made to flow well especially if theyre 1.94 version instead of 1.84

ive had 2.02's put in 4416 heads before i put them on a 72 350 4 bolt truck engine bored to 355 and TRW flats and holy crap it was badass in the truck i had it in at the time, 68 c-10 3.73 th350, it was farkin fast! front end came up to top of suspension travel and rear tires always bit and poof truck went bye bye always everytime(coil rear with trailing arms stock)

and this casting are not crack prone

id keep them, ive gotten rid of too many of them in the past, not hard to make flow better, a die grinder and few minutes, match ports and runners to gaskets, smooth casting errors out in exhausts

Thanks for the response, sounds like they are the 16 but i will double check when i get a chance. I will be running vortecs but know that i know these are good heads i will rebuild them.
