other than jegs and summit, where else can you find a wide variety of valve covers? when i look at jegs i find some pretty cool ones, but they are all big block covers. im wanting to get black ones that say chevy in big letters or something along that line but not pay $250+ for them. i really like these ones off of jegs (GM Performance #809-12495488) but they are for only big blocks.

Something like this:

SD Parts has a lot of GM performance parts, as well as Edelbrock and others. Pretty decent selection of small block valve covers, whether center bolt or surround
bolts.

Edit: And they are significantly less cost than buying from Summit. And I mean absolutely no offense to Summit or Jegs.

ya both of the black ones you guys listed were my second choice i kinda wanted the lettering a little bigger and not red but thats all the offer so i kept looking and decided if i cant find anything else i would go back to them.

Tall valve covers will clear larger rockers, but may cause issues with some accessory mountings. High lift applications use the tall valve covers.

Check around SD parts, as they have quite a few other designs, I just posted them as a quick set that would be close to what you wanted.

New Comp Cams extreme 4x4 cam 12-231-2, lift .432 intake, .453 exhaust, adv. duration 250 intake, 258 exhaust, new comp cams valve springs 981-16,

thats what im running, is that enough enformation to determine if i can run the short ones?
