I had 2 Qjets on order and then randomly I started getting emails saying that my order was canceled and refunded ….and when I emailed back I never got a response …so I kept trying to emai…nothing…l I called and left messages that never got returned and I kept calling, and I finally got a hold of Sean. He sounded somber and stated that they were going out of business, and it sounded like they didn’t even know it was coming…Just sucks cause I really wanted one of their carburetors and now I’m probably gonna have to go electronic fuel injection. He suggested QFT Holley carbs for off the shelf.

SMI would put new bushings in the throttle shaft bores and make modifications to the circuits to improve the response of the carburetor. When I went to a small roller cam in my big block, it wasn't driveable afterwards. I tried a few things, but SMI fixed it.

I should have sent him more work sooner.

I don't think he rebuilds carbs anymore. But he will supply you with the kit to rebuild one. Just need to give him the specs on your motor.

That saddens me, I still have a new SMI Q-jet on the shelf but more than one project that needs one.
