Smittybuilt 10,000lb winch control plug

The winch has been dependable and has always got me out when stuck. Couple times doubled it up with my 3/4 ton buried to the frame rails, pulled it out with not much effort. My problem is the connector for the control. The twist lock is not the best design. The last time using it I had to stop a couple times and wiggle it and hold it just right to make conntact. Any suggestions on another style plug to go with. Thinking rewire it with a diffrent style connector.

I rewired mine with a 4 flat trailer harness, while retaining the stock connector so if my controller gets lost, I could still use someone elses in a pinch...Mine is a warn though...

Thats a good idea they usually have covers over them to. The cover on my stuck connector is long gone.
